OKALOOSA ISLAND — The Okaloosa Rugby Football Club hosted a beach rugby tournament on Saturday where teams from across the Southeast competed in 7-on-7 matches at Beasley Park.

The 7-on-7 format forces teams to use speed to score because each period is seven minutes in length. Regular rugby is played on a pitch with 15 people per team in two 40-minute periods.
